This is by no means a complete directory or listing, it's just a photo gallery of the various WHL arenas that I've happened to see in my travels around this great country, along with submissions from readers like you. For former WHL arenas, click here.

Pacific Coliseum

Western Canada is still terra incognita for me - I've been to Winnipeg and Vancouver on the train and that's pretty much it. As such, this is the only WHL rink that I've actually visited, and therefore the only one that I have something interesting to say about. I rode out on a rented bike in May of 2002 to check out the old home of the Canucks - the arena sits on the site of the Pacific National Exhibition and, much like many other older NHL rinks, looks small from the outside. I haven't been inside - the doors were all locked up in the off-season - but from the outside the arena is a big concrete circle and is built into a hill, which makes it appear even smaller from the top side.

If you have any additional pictures of the above rinks, please submit them to email.
